CAMBODIA
Stories 4 Strength has ongoing programs in Cambodia. We partner with Friends International and have worked at their locations in Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. In addition, we have done health and hygiene workshops with kids at the Angkor Hospital For Children, rural health clinics, and local schools in the provinces. Here is the impact we have had so far:
• Reached over 1,200 people in Siem Reap Province through our educational hygiene shows at the Angkor Hospital For Children, their satellite clinics, and Sotrnikeum Rural Hospital
• Taught health, hygiene, and performance workshops to over 600 students at villages and schools in Cabar Leu, Somrong, and Som Bat
• Created an original show about good health practices with 32 kids from Kaliyan Mith in Siem Reap and the AHC HIV/AIDS Peer Group
• Formed a band with students from the NGO Music for Everyone school in Siem Reap to help provide rockin' tunes for our health show
• Toured the health show to the Angkor Hospital For Children, Kaliyan Mith and Jaya House River Park performing for over 1000 people
• Taught arts and performance workshops to over 100 students at Friends' development locations in Chbar Ampov and Russey Keo in Phnom Penh
• Created an original show about drug abuse with 20 at risk teenagers from Mith Samlanh in Phnom Penh
• Formed another rockin' band with students from the Music Arts School NGO in Phnom Penh for our World AIDS Day sho
• Performed the teen's educational show with live music in front of over 500 students and community members for the World AIDS Day celebration at Mith Samlanh
