Stories 4 Strength started an initiative to bring free songwriting workshops to children who had been recently reunited with their families after being separated at the U.S./Mexico border. We partnered with Immigrant Families Together to make this happen. We hope to do more workshops in the coming year, but here's what we've accomplished thus far:
•Gave kids a safe place to be over holiday weekends while their family members were working
•Provided fresh warm meals
•Taught kids how to write an original song
•Got professional musicians to record with the kids
•Made an original music video with the kids and their song so that they could share it with their friends and family back home
